As I have grown into my young adult life, I have established a love and an admirable appreciation for God's creations. I would notice myself gazing at sunrises and sunsets are being amazed that everyday he creates a new masterpiece in the sky. In addition to this, I also became fascinated with hiking. The beauty at the end of each hike is so rewarding. It just led me to believe even more that a greater being could only create such beauty. Over the years, I have been on many hikes. I have never been disappointed with what was awaiting for me at the top. Although the hike itself may be tiring and strenuous, the beauty seen at the end is always memorable. Hiking and enjoying the views from the top make me feel happiness and tranquility. My good life would not be filled with as much natural beauty if I did not have the memories of hiking.
The happiness studies class was probably one of my favorites from this semester. However, it was really shocking for me to read that research showed that having children lessens happiness. As I think back on my childhood, and even into my early adult life, I feel like myself as well as my sibiling and cousins were able to bring a lot of joy filled memories and fun times to the lives of our family. As I have become a young adult, I have found such a love for babies and children. They gravitate to me as I do to them too. I say this to say that I strongly believe that children and babies are blessings that can be the special touch to make a good life even better.
This is a quote I ran across a while ago. I felt like it was perfect to include on this page because my most fondest memories have happened naturally while I was just having fun and being myself. My memories that are the most vivid are the ones that have greatly impacted my life and helped to mold me into the being I am today. I am thankful for all of the memories that have occurred in my life. While I do enjoy reflecting and looking back at these past times, I am excited to experience the many memories that are ahead of me.
Many of the memories made in my life are made with my brother, Malcolm, and our beloved quirky family dog, Ace. My brother and I have a very special bond. We are able to make memories and "inside jokes" out of anything. It has been a blessing to watch him grow these past thirteen years. He has been a joy to my life and I wouldn't be the protector and voice of reason I am without him. I also chose to include Ace in this slideshow because he is a memorable aspect of my life. Ace may not be human, but he has definitely had an impact on my life. My family got Ace when he was an 8 week old puppy. Ever since the first day we got him, Ace and I have created a special bond. I trained him and he became attached to me. He's my shadow and I wouldn't have it any other way. So, major shout outs are due to my brother and my little puppy. It has been pure pleasure and bliss creating lifelong memories with them.
